Introduction

Leadership is the ability to make process improvements, set the direction and influence and align others toward a common goal, motivating and committing them to action and making them accountable for their performance. Leadership styles basically concerns with influencing other and persuasion. Over a period of time, multiple leadership styles have been developed based on the impact of each leadership style in situation demand.

Leadership is one of the topics in the field of business that is widely discussed and studied. Numerous books, articles and experts continue to cover aspects of leadership, especially as related to the nature and behavior of good leaders, and the structure and characteristics of organizations in which they perform and develop.

Contemporary organizations are more concerned with adapting effective leadership practices that enable the organization to become more oriented towards goals by involving employees as a key component in their course of actions (Daft, 2007). Leadership is not restricted to any particular domain but can be employed in all business fields (DuBrin, 2001). It is necessary to focus on key factors of leadership methodologies and effectiveness to have maximum impact on the goals achievement.

These leadership theories which include behavioral theories, contingency theories, trait theories, and power and influential theories have a significant implication in different contexts. Each theory presents different leadership styles that differ in their practical benefits (Winkler, 2009). Key benefit of leadership is realized by having a good knowledge base. The main objective of this paper is to discuss and compare three different leadership styles and assess the requirement and implication of each leadership style.

Entrepreneurial Approach in Profit Oriented Organization

The charismatic leadership of Steve Jobs shows a process of influencing individuals or groups of individuals to achieve their goals. Charismatic leadership is a critical factor in the management of organizational management. This form of leadership is a historically established social need of people in the organization of joint activities. Steve Jobs is a person who may have a real impact on the behavior of employees.

Steve Jobs is a strong charismatic leader. As a charismatic leader, he is exceedingly inspirational, likes using stories to motivate, and his passion for perfection is inspiring. When relying on behaviors that emphasize the directive style, Steve does not hold back his thoughts about the direction of a project or someone's ideas on how to resolve a problem (Colette, 2008).

Steve's charismatic personality has pulled Apple through crises, periods of change, and even compelled employees to work 90-hour weeks (joyfully) in order to meet seemingly impossible deadlines (Fassin, 2005). His charisma, conviction, and dominating influence also caused him to be fired from Apple when he adamantly refused to change the course he believed Apple needed to go.
