Value has many meanings and uses. For instance, value can be used as the noun or the transitive verb. It can be used to state an amount or worth of something. Ethic, though, is the word with the small variety of uses. The words are closely related when they pertain to morals. Before values or ethics could be righteously defined, moral should in fact be defined first. The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary (2009) states that moral is an adjective with Latin origins pertaining to principle of right or wrong behavior. The meaning of value that is needed would be fourteenth century noun meaning the principle, standard, or quality that is considered worthwhile or perhaps even desirable.

Ethics and standards are closely related. While they could be used in completely different circumstances, they are most often seen together. Urbany, Reynolds, and Phillips (2008) state that all decisions, whether ethical or not, are based on values. Every person has values but not all people are ethical.

According to most of society the person with good morals and ethics has the large value as an individual in eyes of public. On other end of spectrum, immorality and unethical decisions would make the person lose value.
