With the advent of internet the consumers have become more aware of the features of different products. Now consumers have a wide variety of goods available to purchase online and their choice have increase accordingly. The modern era has completely changed the way consumer behaves. Now consumers are almost aware of all the pros and cons of a product. This information has not only made the competition tough but it has also engaged the producers to produce such products that can satisfy the need of consumer (Huang, 2000). Not only this, producers are now spending more on research and development. Previously producers were allocating large amount of their budget on advertising and marketing only. Now due to change in the behavior of consumer they have to work hard on their product quality. Consumers previously were unaware of methods of online purchasing which gave the online sellers a chance to exploit consumer and its need. Now due to increase in the online purchasing and increase in online merchants and shops, competition is initiated and all online stores are trying to facilitate the consumer at most. Previously due to lack of online stores and technology the consumers were not able to shift to other product or source and they lacked choices (Ammeter & Donghyen, 2008).

Online shopping has created a new twist to the shopping. Now stores are providing more variety of products with other benefits like free home delivery, cash on delivery, free replacement and exchange, bulk purchase discounts offers.
