First Aid

First aid is a therapeutic procedure that we apply to victims of accidents or sudden illness, while awaiting specialist help. They intended to preserve the patient's life, not aggravate or improve the health of it. Defined as first aid to non-urgent professional, it is a therapeutic technique that applied to a victim of an accident or sudden illness, it comes as specialized treatment. • If necessary, provide artificial respiration to the victim.

• Do not feed or drink to a victim.

First aid varies according to the needs of the victim and according to the rescuer's knowledge. Knowing what not to do is as important as knowing what to do because a therapeutic misapplied can cause serious complications. For example, acute appendicitis a mild laxative may endanger the patient's life (Longphre & Petar, 2007).
