Determine How Five Guys' Philosophy Sets It Apart From Other Fast-Food Chains.

The difference in the strategy adopted by Five Guys Burger and fast food chains is based on the fact that Five Guys burger mainly focus on their hamburgers and fries. Two slices of roasted beef, bacon, choice of cheese or both are included in the regular burger that the Five Guys burger offer to their customers. However, they also have a 'Little version', which only includes a slice. Several ingredients offered by the Five guys Burger are also offered for free to their customers, in order for the fast food chain to be able to attract its customers on the basis of cheap prices, as compared to their competitors. These offering of ingredients include things like, slices of tomato, lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, slice of pepperoni, onions, opted mushrooms, mustard and barbeque sauce. Apart from this a number of hot dogs are also offered in variety. Moreover, the guests visiting the fast food chain are also offered peanuts, in large cartons to have them in their waiting time. This is the kind of strategy that Five Guys Burger has adopted in order to be able to have their customers busy in something, while their meals are being prepared. Furthermore, it should also be stated that Five Guys burger had put their complete focus on improving the quality of their hamburgers and fries, as they were aware of the fact that they had started the fast food chain at a very low level, and focusing on providing the customers with a variety of burgers would mean that the chain would had to compromise on their quality and it would have also increased the cost for the chain. Therefore, in order to keep their costs lower, and in order to make a name for themselves, they only focused on providing their customers with hamburgers and fries and improving on the quality of these two products to the highest possible level. This also helped them to develop a speciality of their own (Weise, 2011). This strategy worked for the Five Guys Burger. This is said because of the fact that people who wanted to have hamburger and fries always turned to Five Guys Burger, rather than other fast food chains, because of the fact that the quality of their hamburger was competitive or even better than others and the cost of the burger was also much lower (Weise, 2011). However, once the business started making progress, the chain decided to start offering other variety of burgers, as well.
