Introduction

One may have heard everywhere to the greatest of the extent about leadership. Everyone has a different opinion about leaders, some say leaders are made, and some say leaders are born. However, it does not actually matter how we build a leader but, we all need leaders in every field of life, be it a country, an organization, or your home. To create an understanding about leaders, we can clearly define them as, a person with the ability to make individuals follow him with their own will (Hakala, 2009).

Human resource falls amongst the most important of assets of any organization. Therefore, one can imagine the level of requirement and importance of a leader in any business. However, it may also depend on the situation one is into, or the team he is leading, and organization in which he is working. For instance, you are part of a centralized environment where not a lot of recommendations are accepted, and a chance to lead is minimalistic. Therefore, in such case a leader may not be able to work according to his or her approach, and may leave the company and look for a different environment.

Leadership approaches

It can be defined; a Leadership approach is the style and manner of giving pathway, executing plans, and motivating people (www.nwlink.com). Leaders may follow different methods to lead and inculcate altered approaches. There are many ways, which a leader, follow and build upon his or her attributes. Some common styles are discussed in the following section of the paper.

Authoritarian

It is an approach where leader can transform into a form of a dictator. A standard autocratic leader does not engage others in the decision-making process. Authoritarian employers tell their workers about the task and tell them how they can achieve that task without taking their suggestion (www.nwlink.com). If, one builds such style and follow it on a regular basis than he, or she is not a natural leader. Nevertheless, in the end the person might suffer because of such approach.

This approach can be strength of a leader when he or she is highly skilled, and have an immense amount of expertise in their filed.
