Challenges faced by a Police in a Large Country

There are some things which can be counted as challenges and issues which are consistently facing by the police chiefs in large countries. Among a lot of issues, the major one is the recent spikes which are taking place in terms of violent criminal activities. Another issue comes up, when the police chiefs are required to deal with some large gangs which are committing crimes day by day and are expanded to even small and remote areas of the country. A challenge which is also needed to be dealt tactfully by the police chief is the enforcement of laws at the local levels of a country.

With the time, the criminal activities are also increasing especially in the areas where the people are not as much educated or they are going through with some psychological issues and may be it could be their frustration which they expose in terms of violent criminality. This violence sometimes increase to such an extent that even police chiefs feel some fear in approaching toward them so it can be a challenge for the police to catch and arrest them and then having them in prisons. Also, there is an increased emergence of criminal gangs or the people of underworld which are wanted but no one could catch them or their real places where they exist. Moreover, their gangs are prevailed to the large extent in the areas of a country and they persistently work for the criminal activities and nobody could be able to stop them. Then in such cases, police chiefs also have some challenges to catch them and to deal with such huge gangs at once. Another big challenge they face in establishing the laws to prevent criminal activities and behaviours in the rural areas where people are highly illiterate even they do not know about the things which are right and wrong or them. It is highly difficult in such incidents for the police chiefs to make such illiterate people understand about the standards of criminal laws and even ethics.

The good skills of police chief are very essential as through them the enforcement of laws takes place. Among a lot of their duties, the roles of the police chiefs are so vital. They establish their personal integrity and standings with all the components of a country. They articulate the enforcement of law standards and then make clear for the citizens that what behaviours are expected and what are not agreed. In this regard, the citizens must also understand the conduction of such acts as something unethical or immoral and also must have a clear comprehension about the processes of adjudicating and investigating several cases.
