Introduction

 Similarities and differences between language and music processing are considered from an evolutionary and cognitive perspective (Baker 12). Language and music cannot be considered separate companies; they must be decomposed into different component operations or levels of processing.

 Interpretation is important for music and language, but in different ways. To interpret language means: to understand language. To interpret music means: to make music. Musical interpretation of a performance which, as synthesis, retains the similarity with the language, while the destruction of each specific similarities.
