Introduction

The triad of sociopathy or Macdonald Triad advocates that an individual will commit violent acts if three behaviors are present in him since child hood. They are cruelty of animal, fire setting obsession and continuous bedwetting beyond the age of 5 years. These behaviors if present in an individual can be predictors towards resorting to homicidal behavior later in life. Although the research has not met with much support, it is being used by numerous law enforcing departments along with other variables for criminal profiling.
