The Mexican Mafia (MM), furthermore renowned as “La Eme” or EME, is a Chicano jail gang begun in 1957 at Duel Vocational Institute (DVI), a youthful lawbreaker facility established in Tracy, California. The Mexican Mafia was initially formed to defend its Chicano gang constituents from other jail gangs. It is made up from mostly Mexican-American convict's pattern the barrios of East Los Angeles.
