Introduction

Sometimes also translated literally as "Much Ado About Nothing" is part of the group called critics "big plays", denoting more mature than the early works. It has also been found to form a romantic trilogy As You Like It and Twelfth Night. Much ado about nothing is a tale of different people having close acquaintances with each other. It is a story for two people fall in love with each other while others out of enviousness try to apart these two lovers by creating misunderstanding. On the other hand, there are two other characters in the play who don not want to confess their love for each other, and they want to remain bachelors for their lifetime. Destiny plays its role to bring first pair together and urging other pair to confess love for each other. The play shows the importance of family relationships and how important it is for a healthy life. It shows the importance of love and healthy relationship between a couple, hence the story must be taken in that regard.

Discussion

The action takes place in Messina (port city in northeastern Sicily). Once again, Shakespeare places the characters in his works in the "exotic" part of the Italian city-states and their political struggle. The Prince of Aragon and his brother, in the fifteenth century, Sicily was part of the Mediterranean domain of the Crown of Aragon, and during the life of Shakespeare, the island still belonged to Spain.

In the play, young lovers Hero and Claudio are set to be married but, to pass the time, they plan a little mischief with Don Pedro concerning confirmed bachelor Benedick and confirmed bachelorette Beatrice. In the meantime, Don John has a little mischief in mind for the original couple.

Benedick is a bachelor who scorns all men willing to enter the married state (Shakespeare, 2000).

Don Pedro makes a plan to set both Beatrice and Benedick up in a relationship using a little deception. When Benedick is close by, Claudio, Don Pedro, and Leonato talk of their great behavior for Beatrice, who loves Benedick but is not treated in the same way. The three tell one another of the love letters Beatrice had written to Benedick and had then torn up, and how she sheds tears for her unrequited love. At the same time, on occasions when Beatrice is nearby but did not appear in the scenario. Hero and her maid talk to each other about Benedick and Beatrice. The two gullible young people decide not to let the other suffer. They decide to scarify their rules and accept the relationship with each other.

The night before the wedding of Hero and Claudio, Don John is ready to execute his nefarious plan.
