ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING

Organizational Learning

Abstract

This paper discusses the theoretical framework and the scientific study design that will be used for the study. Organizational learning is an area of study on which considerable research has been conducted. The study will use qualitative research design. The reason is that the hypothesis aims to explore the effect of organizational learning on the strategic management. Organizational learning can be treated as an independent variable because based on the hypothesis; it is one of successful strategic management tool. Whereas, the dependant variable will be strategic management. The analysis will be based on the coded responses of the survey questionnaire using the qualitative study approach.

Organizational Learning

Introduction

To further validate the literature review and the secondary research, it is imperative to undertake the primary research. This paper discusses the theoretical framework and the scientific study design that will be used for the study. The theoretical framework shows the study purpose and significant variables used in the study, whereas the scientific research section depicts the methodology, sample, data collection and the use of the questionnaire and statistical tools to facilitate the research design.

Theoretical Framework

A theoretical framework (or conceptual) is the core group of concepts and theories that one uses to formulate and develop an argument (or thesis). This refers to the basic ideas that form the basis for the arguments, while the review of literature refers to articles, studies and books specific uses within a predefined structure. Both the overall arguments (the framework) and the literature that supports it (literature review) are required to develop a cohesive and compelling thesis (Lohr, 1998). The theoretical framework is a preliminary investigation documents (i.e., documentary and bibliographic information) to make decisions in the design of field research and to guide the analysis of data collected in the field. The theoretical framework is the stage of the research process one provides and made it clear to the theory that directs the research, i.e. following a model of reality that researchers investigate. However, a significant aspect to remember is that the theory is not any other thing that the reality describes. It is the set of verbal ideas and concepts, and; therefore, cannot be declared reality itself.

Adaptation of new technologies and methodologies in business ensures lucrative operation of the business, and it also lends a hand for an organization to achieve competitive advantage. To adapt these unusual phenomena organization learns them and then to implement these new concepts organization suffers from organizational change. Organizational learning, development, and change are basic concepts. Only organizations that learn about themselves, their virtues, the mistakes, successes and failures, are prepared to adapt to the changing business world these days and times to come (Levy, Lemeshow, 2003). Organizational Learning has been studied by a large number of theorists and researchers from divergent schools and disciplines. They all have differing views but come to similar conclusions, including the most important concept that organizational learning generates innovation and change processes, in lifestyles and attitudes of integrating ...
