Introduction

Emma Thompson and Mike Nichols adaptation of Margaret Edson intellectual anti-intellectual play "Vita", which won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize, movingly explores the tough but emotionally homeless scientist confrontation with life-threatening disease. At the same time, he ruthlessly deconstructs the modern medical research establishment.
