Social Research Methods to Program Evaluation Research Methods

The development of experiment and research is creative and a distinctive work which is conducted in a sophisticated method in order to enhance the knowledge stock, which comprises of knowledge of culture, humanity and society. The utilization of this knowledge stock results into the devising of the recommended practices and standard for the survey and observation on research and experimental development. Every research study is conducted with the help of a particular research design. A research design pertains to the structure that is to be followed in a research to exercise the control of it in order to find reliable results and their relation to the questions raised by the hypothesis. A problem statement is defined as initial scope of the investigation and making the assumption (or not established due to wing nature of the study), the investigator must display the practical and concrete way to answer the research questions, as well as to meet their objectives. This involves selecting or developing one or more research designs and applying them to the particular context of their study. The term design refers to the plan or strategy designed to get the information the researcher want.

The design must also specify the steps to be taken to control extraneous variables and signals when, in relation to other events, they will collect the data and specify the environment in which the study has to be performed. This means that the researcher must say where they have carried out interventions and data collection, and this can be in a natural environment (such as the home or workplace of the subjects) or in a laboratory environment (with all the controlled variables). In designing the study, the researcher must say what information was given to the subject, and should disclose to the subjects for the purpose of research and obtaining their consent.

Methodologies

All kinds of research projects apply methodologies to study the facts and elements. A methodology is a logical organization of human activity in order to determine the purpose and object of research, approaches and guidelines in its custody, the choice of means and methods of determining the best possible result. All human activity is characterized by the methodology, but in the research methodology, it is critical to success. The methodology of any study begins with the selection, production and formulation of its objectives. The object of study is to control the system. However, methodologically, it is very important is to understand and take into account the class of the system. It belongs to a class of socio - economic systems. This means that a basic element of it is man; human activity determines the characteristics of the processes of its functioning and development. It also commands the communications capabilities that exist, the system characterized by the complex and contradictory relationship between people based on their interests, values, motivations and attitudes.
