Introduction

The research work performed for this paper is related to the impact of deviations within the industry of airline on the economy of the country. Aviation industry leaders perceived the fact that the airplane would not be able to meet the requirements of people in the state without involving any federal agency or action that can improve and implement safety standards. In this consideration, an act was passed as Air Commerce act in the year 1926. This legislation is responsible for resolving issues related to developing air commerce, enforcing air traffic rules, licensing agreements, certification of aircraft and controlling the entire department of air aviation. This led to the establishment of Civil Aviation.

The Federal Aviation Administration works under nation aviation authority of the United States. It is associated with United States Department of Transportation and is responsible for the regulation and managing all the operations of civil aviation. The research paper describes the main functions of Civil Aviation that may have high impact on the key and the airline industry of United States.

Airline Industry Overview

The trend towards travelling through airline grew at a very rapid pace and got expanded from a figure of 172 million passengers to around 642 million passengers from the year 1970 to 2003 respectively until the great terrorist attack that took place in the year 2001 that totally changed the travelling outlook. Along this, some of the economic recessions also became the cause, beside the event of terrorism that took place in 2001, for the reduction of level of air travelling in the world. Besides being affected from many other aspects that resulted in the decrease of air travelling and creating a negative impact on the economy of respective country and also affecting the economy of the airline industry, air travelling is still considered to be among the most popular means of transpiration.

Impact of Civil Aviation

The civil airline industry plays an important role in advancing trade and commerce and enables the industry players to reduce trade barriers and adopt easy global trade transportation which are easily available and accessible. The overall industrial operations are dependent on the key functions and services of air transportation authority which has positive impact on U.S. economy.
