Why is revision necessary in writing process?

Revision is often defined as the last stage in the process of writing (prewriting, writing, and revision). Leer, (1995), on the other hand, sees the revision as "the process of making changes in the writing project, the changes that work for this project is consistent with the writer changing intentions." In practice and revision, the writer can be a strong argument in favor of my work, and is the main thesis put the entire document for the future.
