Abstract

In this era, where the world has transformed into global village, the environment of business has become extensively dynamic with the higher risk factors and greater values of uncertainty. This uncertainty decreases market share and increases organizational inefficiency. This proposal is a critical analysis through case studies for the striving role of ethics and healthy environment through effective role of human resource management.

Background of the study

SME are mostly found guilty of not providing the best of health environment to its employees due to lack of resources. Business ethics is a specialized branch of ethics focusing on how moral standards apply to business organizations and behavior (Velasques, 1998). ). This concept is of business ethics and healthy environment is gaining more and more importance in new global market. This concept equally applies to all multinational corporations as well as SME's. The study is conducted in an SME environment that is within UK. SME's mostly having the problem of scarce resources both in terms of finance and human. So the implications of HRM are more complex. With all the limitations, the proposal explores the measures that can help with minimum utilization of resources. This paper studies the environment and search for recommendations that will allow HRM to play a much more active role in ethically developing the healthy environment.

Problem Statement

This paper sets out issues related to healthy environment, moral and ethical and safety conducts associated with SMEs in the regard of HRM.

Aims and objectives

It will focus on the role of HRM in improving and sustain better ethical conduct and healthy environment.

It will explore the means by which HRM can help in improving the ethical environment of a company. In particular how SME's can utilize their HRM can help in taking over the different cross culture complexities.

This paper explores how the human resource can be utilized in finding the opportunities to move towards a better environment. Such a study should give insights into the workings of HRM, a concept that is rapidly gaining in popularity and acceptance for a more diversified role in any organization. Also, the study will test the usefulness of a perspective that business and morality are two inter related concepts.
