The culture of the organization depends a lot on the performance of the organization in the market holding its norms and beliefs.

Walmart operates in 27 countries with 55 different names running more than 8,500 stores. In United States, company operates under the name of Walmart, and runs in 50 states and Puerto Rico. In United Kingdom, it operates with the name of Asda (Basker, 2006).

Nature of Operations

Walmart runs discount departmental and warehouse stores all around the world. The main theme of Walmart is to provide people with discounted items of every type. The service providing criteria of Walmart is such that they aim to save people's money by providing them with discounted household goods, so that people can live better with less expense.

In this expensive era, price matters the most to the customers all over the world. The main goal of the corporation is to provide people with best merchandise in lowest prices, so that people can save money and live better lives. The goods and products range from school supplies to house hold items and high quality groceries. Recently Walmart has started to focus on introducing new energy efficient products so that people can save their money on a larger scale of time (Frank, 2006).
