ABSTRACT

The main focus of this particular research study is to examine the impact of technology on Human Resource Management in India. This research study examines the impact on technology and innovation on Wipro India. The research study shade light on the importance of the use of information technology and its effectiveness for the human resource management in India. In the present era every organization uses different techniques, strategies and technology to maximize their market share. Wipro is an Indian multinational provide of information technology services. The company has over 130,000 employees as well as global presence across 54 countries. In India Wipro is the first software technology services company. The company has also achieved ISO 9000 certification. In 2002, the company also become the first software company to get SEI CMM level 5. For this particular research study Wipro HRM and technology practices were examine by conducting a questionnaire survey with the employees of Wipro India. The Human Resources Department must include the development of information systems in their own responsibility for the strategic development of the company. The responsibilities of the Human Resources Department in large companies have moving more towards improving the overall performance of the company. This implies that HR take measurements economic, technological, social, and assists in effective implementation within the organization. There is no doubt that information technology plays a primary role in the creation and maintenance of competitive advantage. The target respondents of this survey were the HR Manager, HR senior executive and HR executive. The target respondents were recruited by using the sampling technique of simple random sampling. Simple random sampling is the simplest sampling method; it provides equal chances of selection to the target respondents.
