Abstract

In America, the drug addiction phenomenon is becoming increasingly serious due to the growth of number of addicts. The rehabilitation of addicts is a subject which is presently much in the public's eye. The case workers assume that a leadership role in preparing and planning for individuals discharges. The social workers assist the family members and patients to deal with the emotional, financial, and social aspects of the situations of the patients. The social workers serve as hospital liaisons with the patient's insurance case manager. Both the non government and government agencies have taken strengthening efforts to fight with the issues of alcohol and drug abuse in the country. In spite of a variety of efforts, government have done for treatment purpose of rehabilitation, it is known to be more or less victorious. For rehabilitation centre establishment and effectiveness of treatment, it is important that the workers should work effectively. This study is therefore conducted to explore and to improve the morale of the caseworkers in the addict's rehabilitation centers. This is a primary research with a qualitative design. The surveys will be conducted to ascertain the purpose of the study and the improvement of caseworker's morale will be determined. One of the limitations of the study reported was that the sample size was very small and only organizations working in phoenix of New York were considered. The developed information will be valuable for long range and immediate administrative planning in addict's rehabilitation centre. For facilities, man power and curriculum planning it proves to be the most valuable. Ultimately, such information is supportive which is a very realistic identification for the improving the morale of the case workers in the Phoenix House.
