The British Army employed the Bayonet in the early years of the war as it proved to be success for them against the untrained and ill-equipped American Units. The civilization of art depicted its relevance with old history as it had similarity with the early style of Bess bayonet used in the 17th century. The wars were even fought in the 17th century and the weapons used at that time had a lot of value. This is the reason why further efforts were made to improve the overall functions of British Socket Bayonet. In fact, the British Bayonets went through further changes in the following years as many battles were fought with American forces. The importance of this art was very high because it was necessary for the British Army to have an adequate amount of weapons used in the war. The usage of this art also depicts the kind of situation that prevailed at that time. The wars were constantly fought between the US and British forces that eventually led to the creation of the weapons. In fact, it was not just the British Army but the US Armed forces also adopted measures to increase their potential strength for fighting battles. The category of the British Socket Bayonet was listed under a specific heading known as Board of Ordnance (early style). The reason is that it was still undergoing transformation and it had to meet the requirements of the battlefield. The British Forces made their best efforts to equip the Army with high quality weapons as their mission regarding the war was very clear. Though, all the ancient weapons have their own importance and they have their own credentials based on a certain time. The 17th, 18th and 19th Centuries in the American and British History is categorized as a period that had many wars as both sides continued to show their strength in the armed conflicts. The importance of the weapons used during these wars also increases as a result because it gave a key advantage to both military sides. The difference in these two elements characterized the upper advantage of any one side that also refers to the psychological advantage during the wars. However, British Socket Bayonet was a weapon that certainly made it easier for the forces to use in the war for fighting their opponents.
