Introduction

The aim and objective of this assignment is to examine three political or legal issues, goals of K-12 assessment which are related to biasness in culture and gender discrimination which has been seen in the society. This assignment will also identify three current issues which are related to this problem and a measurement model which is related to that model. Furthermore, this paper will suggest some measures which can effect improvement in the society and ameliorate the conditions of people who become victim of gender discrimination and cultural biasness.

Political and legal issues of biasness

Biasness is an attitude which depicts an unfavorable behavior towards a "particular" group, ethnicity, race or individual. It is considered as a discriminative behavior which underestimates a particular community or group and promotes unequal treatment in the society. It is a negative assumption about a group. Biased behavior is a harmful attitude for a society which grows differences among communities and discourages unity and equality among the society. There arise various political and legal issues if the society is biased towards a particular group of society. Cultural bias is referred to interpret and judge other people by standards inherent to one's own culture. This is considered as a problem for human society. Various scholars and researchers have attempted to devise theories and methods to reduce the culture biases among the people living in a society. There exist various cultural biases in relation to the norms and value, traditions and customs, linguistic and logical validity and taboos.

Biasness is an unfavorable behavior for a society which creates a sense of insecurity and unequal treatment for citizens. Practicing prejudice violates fundamental citizen rights, and it is also against ethics. There are various internal and external causes resulting in increasing or promoting prejudice in a society (Crandall et.al, 2011). Certain types of Prejudice are there which are still in practice in several regions of the world. Cultural difference, ethnicity, race or color distinction and community difference give rise to prejudice.

The gender biasness still exists in the organization where men are given preference over women when it comes to acquiring top management positions in the organizations. The difficulties of women in the workplace are still higher than those of men. Gender biasness is the root cause of discrimination in employment. Discrimination against women in the industry number did not show, but women have long been on the quality of employment in a weak position. Inequality between men and women exists in all areas: participation in decision making, in the exercise of power, in private life in social life and in even; in promoting and in professional careers. The participation of men and women in the workplace is strongly influenced by their position in society.
