The personality of the leader

The personality of the leader pertains to 'the lawyer in prison', that is, Malcolm Bannister. He is a lawyer from African-American population. The lawyer has been sentenced for a ten year prison in case of a crime that was not convicted by him. The persona of Malcolm encompasses of a model citizen prior to that. He had phenomenal accomplishment pertaining to self, job and career bringing his family proud. Moreover, he was a proud and well-established individual who lost his life in the prison (Grisham, 2012).

The leadership traits he possessed

The personality encompasses of several leadership traits. Firstly, he provided to be a role model for the society. The foremost leadership trait pertained to modeling. Secondly, the trait was outspoken, as a leader Malcolm knew how to speak his heart out. Thirdly, the trait encompassed of the practicality. A leader has no room for quitting and believes in consistent endeavor. The personality of Malcolm revolved around finding way outs and looking for the solutions (Grisham, 2012.

Affects of other leaders

The effect of other leaders has been very profound and positive. These effects include the development of outstanding public oratory, as well as, the development of comprehensive knowledge in the law and legal issues of the country. He was inspired by several leaders that were transformational leaders. These leaders inspired to fight for the justice, as well as, made his way towards a wonderful career (Grisham, 2012).

Goal achievement

The life of Malcolm was full of goal achievement and attainment as depicted in the novel. During the period of education, and career he had a successful way to reach the goals. As depicted in the first part of the novel, he did not merely reach his expectations, but he rather, surpassed them. As a result, the first half of his life was full of achieving the targets and desires. However, later the growth and process of achievement was hindered due to imprisonment. The second half of the novel is full of thrill where the mere goal was Malcolm was to get rid of the prison, which was finally achieved (Grisham, 2012).

The role of the team in fostering his leading other

The team of Malcolm had great role as such, in the story. The character of Malcolm pertained to run a law firm and was an eminent attorney in his time. However, as the firm was associated with the legal issue, it went into dissolution. The team fed away and there was a significant role played by the team in reviving and preaching the leadership facets that was quite evident in the persona of Malcolm, as well as, getting him out of the prison (Grisham, 2012).
