In various social situations, I prefer to listen and then talk to others. I usually tend to be a good communicator and like to respond back once I have listened to the speaker and known the exact situation to talk about. First listening and then responding not only saves from unnecessary hassle created by misunderstandings but also provides relevant information to think and answer properly. The various perceptions that the other people form and carry about us depend upon their observation of what we do or say. The other people do not have any other way of getting to know our inner feelings, thoughts and beliefs, and thus, they make decisions about what they see or hear about us.

I generally prefer short succinct sentences while speaking instead of using technical jargons of many descriptive terms. The speakers may comprise of audiences form various capacities, and therefore, it is necessary to make all of them understand my talk instead of going haywire and getting confused in the descriptive terms in my speech. So, in my point of view, the short plain sentences with easier grammar are more understandable. However, at other times, I switch to speaking the technical terms and jargons when it is required.

I prefer to go about speaking in cause and effect situations instead of confusing the speakers with my ambiguously created situations. Such speech usually makes the communication easier and lets the speakers understand more instead of question more.
