From the past few years women have become extra careful about their persona which results in increasing the sales graph up to 20% annually. In 2006 and 2011 the skin care market is valued at $26 billion (Mermelstein & Fielding 2007). Research shows that more than 23% of the women are keen about maintaining their skin with different kinds of cream and cosmetic treatments.

With the arrival of different season people are more exposed to ultraviolet rays and exposure to the sun improperly can bring many losses to the skin therefore, women are more concerned about their skin care and in this case they scanned the market for such products which again makes their skin fresh and glowing. According to data from the US Cosmetic Survey of Dermatology, each year, 100 thousand women develop some type of skin tumor, and excessive exposure to the sun a major cause.

The International manufacturing companies now launch their skin care products in the Asian market in order to make their revenues from this market. According to the market analysts the Asian market is not only possesses high consumption but ('Unilever-P&G skincare war' 2008) highlights that the potential is more than we have expected with a span of 30% growth the market seems to be more lucrative and has space too. The market capitalization in terms of costic and skin care products is equal to $7.8 Billion annually. The figure does not show the total consumption due to some constraints.
