Critique of Group's Work

Introduction

The topic selected for presentation was 'Interpersonal Communication'. The team was comprised of ix members including Leon, Alejandro, Oguzhan Toker, Ali Almutairi, Chris leffler and Faduma Nur. They team worked collectively in order to explore the topic. The experience of working with them was really good. I learned a lot form this experience. After this team work I can say that working as a team is more effective and productive as compare to working individually. We learn from others members in the group also. Every individual has different capability, ideas and concepts, so a team has many brains to get to the solution. Furthermore, it is vital to have unity in the group. Furthermore, the member should also have sense of responsibility for the given work. Every member should be given equal task according to their interest and abilities. Sharing responsibility is also a characteristic of an effective team (Morgeson, Reider & Campion, 2005; Davies, 2005). Below is the assessment given regarding my individual experience of working as team.

Discussion

The team was consists of a variety of different characters with different and complementary skills and specialist knowledge. Full and equal participation of all members was made sure. At the beginning of the group work, each was able to express adequately and in detail about his expectations and his personal objectives.

The objectives of the team were defined in writing by mutual discussion as common targets.

Goal Setting

The objectives of the project were completely derived from the objectives and corporate strategy.

Target identification

All team members felt better during / after reaching the project goal (This was verified by asking questions. “Assuming that we achieve the project goal, we will then be better, worse or feel the same?”). All participants who felt the same or worse of the team worked out and the resulting obstacles to be processed. Only at a discernible improvement in target identification was continued with the basic process.

Communication

All participants finished and the others listen to their concerns. In this case, it was manifested rare that a participant is interrupted when his contribution. The team carried out a list of how often interrupt the participants are mutually exclusive. Discuss, if necessary, the results of this recording in the group.
