It can be found between the surface and up to seven hundred kilometers deep (limit upper mantle) for the deepest events.

QUESTION 1:

The patterns of distribution of earthquakes in US are varying from region to another region. There are regions which are showing yellow, green, sea green, orange, and red areas. This was the distribution showing the probability of 19% for the next fifty years data.

QUESTION 2:

I live in Dallas and, on the map, my area is in yellow. The risk is not that much higher as it is in the region with red colour. This data on the website are showing a prediction which can also be false, because no one can beat the power of science.

If my area was in red than my preference, would be to shift to a different region. Because living in an area which has a threat of natural disaster, and it is not, save to live in that particular region.

I will use the USGS resources to see, whether the area, I am force to relocate is save for my future living or not and USGS resources are easy to use. Anyone can use it by just clicking on the region you can find out the probability and prediction of any area in the world.
