Abstract

Social networking possesses a capability to consume the entire existence of people. Social networking, like every other internet tool, has some negative and some positive aspects attached to it. Employers get help for the recruitment purposes from the social networking websites. For instance, LinkedIn remains one of the most important social networking tools in this regard. Exploring the dangers of social networking for employees remain the basic essence of this paper. Large organizations being involved actively in the social networking makes it important for employees to remain active within the social networking in order to gain complete advantage of the opportunities available. This paper will explore the relevant dangers associated with social networking for employees. People; especially the younger generation, tends to feel that social networking is an integral part of their routine and daily lives and they cannot ultimately survive without social networking. There are a number of dismissals reported due to the inappropriate use of social networking websites. A recent survey in Britain reveals that the British employers extensively use social media for the purpose of screening the potential candidates. Overall, the paper revolves around discussing the dangers of social networking for employees and its significance in today's environment.

It would be any exaggeration if I would suggest that social networking has become an integral part of everyone's personal and work lives. Also, social networking possesses a capability to consume the entire existence of people. Social networking, like every other internet tool, has some negative and some positive aspects attached to it. The most apparent benefit of social networking is that it tends to bring enormous and important information to the employees and also make them socially active in the working world.
