Introduction

The aim and objective of this essay is to discuss the effect of green house on the world. This essay will describe the phenomena of green house effect and its drastic repercussions on the world environment.

The greenhouse effect is a phenomenon by which certain gases retain part of the energy emitted by the soil after being heated by solar radiation. Occurs, therefore, an effect of warming similar to what occurs in a greenhouse with a temperature rise.

Although the greenhouse effect is caused by the action of several components of the planetary atmosphere, the heating process has been accentuated in recent decades by the action of man , with the emission of carbon dioxide, methane and other gases and which can also have severe consequences on the entire earth. Thus, besides the two mentioned gases are also water vapor, nitrous oxide, chlorofluorocarbons and ozone. Elements all of which are natural but, following the famous Industrial Revolution that began in the intense activity in the use of what are fossil fuels, have been increasing their presence in the atmosphere and that causes the greenhouse situation that concerns the whole world.

The Earth's atmosphere consists almost entirely of oxygen, nitrogen and argon. These gases are sufficiently transparent for visible light and for the kind of infrared radiation emitted by the earth's surface when hot. But also the atmosphere contains 100 0.03 carbon dioxide, which is transparent for visible light but somewhat opaque to infrared rays. Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere retains heat and acts as glass greenhouse (Bakun, et.al, 2010).
