Psychological factors

Psychological factors are involved more or less in weight gain. Unfortunately, this is not enough considered when a person begins a diet. When starting with a plan to lose weight , it is necessary to assess its weaknesses in order to maximize its chances of success, once it has been found what actually was the reason of weight gain it become easier to lose the pounds if the plan worked. In order to make weight losing plan, there need to have certain Psychological conditions to make a plan work. Those who are suffering from psychological factors require being in good psychological condition as in periods of stress is not the best time to start a diet. Good physical condition is also essential so for that person should not be tired by overwork. Find other sources of pleasure to offset the frustration, however small it may be, caused by the scheme: for example in sport, invest in a combination. Self-confidence may also help in boosting up motivation (Nedeltcheva, 2010)

The psychological causes

The psychological aspect is present in the history of weight gain, both in its origin and in its consequences.

Motivation

Motivation is the key to ensure weight loss. Many people who want to lose weight sets their goal and objective, often fails for no good reason. By not achieving their objectives, they get totally disillusioned and frustrated, and forced to stop their diet and exercise. For this reason we must understand that being driven consistently gives us the key to ensuring weight loss. This term is known as "motivation to lose weight".

Motivation is reflected to be the key element of losing weight. It has been found that motivation for dieting brings a difference in order to be successful in your plan. In this respect the different motives and types of learning have strong relationship between each other and there lie concepts of dependence, independence and interdependence, as well as some others factors have emerged in response to a need for change. (Natalie, 2010)

Because of this, severely obese individuals are increasingly recommended for surgical procedures for weight reduction rather than extreme interventions. Maintenance of weight loss for these individuals is a concern because their severe obesity may be associated with psychological issues which could not be addressed through surgery and drugs. (Stein, 2007)

Nature

If one or two of parents are obese, there are exponential chances developing the disorder. A specific DNA leading to obesity has not yet been discovered, but scientists believe there is one. There is a very strong "nature" of weight elements. People who are obese in present their ancestors may be predisposed to obesity, even if they are raised by thin parents who did not have weight problem. (Howard, 2006)
