Introduction

The Muslim Brotherhood is considered to be the largest and the most influential Islamic movements of the world. The Muslim Brotherhood is generally the society of the Muslim Brothers. It is also observed that the Muslim Brotherhood is the largest political opposition in many Arab states. The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in the year 1928 in Egypt by a school teacher and Islamic scholar named Hassan al-Banna. This movement was founded as a social, religious and political movement and it had almost two million members in it by the end of the Second World War (Thompson, 2012). The idea of this movement of being a combined model of Islamic charity and political activism has influenced the Arab world to a great extent.

Discussion

The Muslim Brotherhood is considered to be the largest movement of the Muslim World. It is observed that the core objective of this Islamic movement is to finish the Egypt monarchy and overthrow the Western influences along with the establishment of an Islamic theocracy. This Islamic movement has always aimed to achieve its core objectives through ideological influence, political activities and acts of violence. It has been observed that the Muslim Brotherhood has limited its violent acts, and thus a great following has been established of this Islamic movement throughout the world for the continuation of their political activities. It is also observed and analyzed that this movement has influenced and empowered a number of terrorist leaders such as Ayman al Zawahiri and Osama Bin Laden, and many of its members are still engaged in terrorist activities in the present society (Pargeter, 2010).
