Introduction

Howard knew that Pastoral counseling students are judged by basic types for more than fifty years after it was first written. When Howard fell ill, his work was carried on by Bridget Clare McKleever who had made his work more relevant. She had done the marvelous job in updating and revising his efforts. During Howard parish ministry, he observed so many pain in the individual's lives. That was why he had done masters in the secular schools of psychology and the therapeutic disciplines and, became the pioneer of pastoral counseling. He was aimed to bring a major change in the pastoral counseling in order to make it more relevant and, basic types had influenced the change.

Chapter 1 of the book discusses the ideas of the changes and opportunities in Pastoral care and counseling. There is the little scenario of the help station which is built on the reckless seashores. There was just a building and, a boat with few members who tried to save helpless people. They kept on searching different lost people day and night without having proper rest. This station started to grow after sometime but, members of this building were unhappy because, building was poorly equipped. They thought that, they should get the comfortable place in order to provide proper aid to the rescue individuals. This station was also becoming the meeting place for the members. They also hired lifeboats crew to save the individuals going to sea. Many members of the club were exhaust because; they were missing their social life. After sometimes, new life station was built. This chapter focuses that, relevance is the way to help individuals who are in distress of hunger, stress and alone. Holistic care giving is the important aspect in which religious leaders heal many patients in their religious way. Caring and counseling is the most important social behavior of our society from which churches deal with several individuals and, less the distress of many individuals. There is the use of religious language which can be understood by the patients. In other words, pastoral care and counseling are the essential elements of the church because; it can work as the lifesaving station but, not a social club. Today, most changes are brought in these churches for the process of pastoral care and counseling. The members of such plan get many options. World brings several challenges like ship racks and, these process serve as the life stations and rescue boats. There is also the proper training for the members because, they cannot provide proper treatment to the individuals without getting trained by themselves. These practices help the members to save certain lives and, certain new programs help poor families in order to have proper assistance for their future.
