Positive points of Constitution of United States

Introduction

There are several positive of constitution of United States for which I prefer that it should not be changed. This constitution has served American government and the people of America in various ways for e.g. giving representation to the states according to their population, giving right to the states to formulate and design their own law to elect members etc. I have discussed below the Articles and Sections of the constitution in such that it will be easy to understand the reason for which this constitution not be changed. It defines various laws which help not only the state for smooth functioning but it also helps the people to know their power and the power of other people who belong to the goverining body. It helps in policy formulation and also helps the judiciary for performaning in an efficient way. Some the points which are in favor of this constitution are that it promotes peace and harmony among the state and help in the collobration so that United States can perform better.

Positive Points of Article 1

In Article 1, Section 1 of the constitution establishes the name that should be given to the Legislature should be The Congress, two-part body or a bicameral. In Section 2 of the constitution defines different houses. This also includes age limit of 25-year-old, and also establish that the people themselves should be electing every members for the period of 2 years. Section 3 defines the Senate and the Congress's Upper house. It defines establishes minimum requirements, which is age limit of thirty year. At first semators were appointed by a teeam of legislatures belonging to individual states, but this was changed later. They had to serve up for 6 years each. Every state has equivalent weightage in Senate, which means that every state has strict number of Senators, i.e. two each; this is without taking population in concern. Vice President is the head of the Senate and is also called the Senate's President. This Vice-President cannot vote until unless there are equal numbers or votes i.e. a tie. A good thing which Section 4 says is that every state has the right to establish own rule and the methods which will be used for electing Congress's members and other related laws(Currie & David, 2004 pp. 63).

In Section 5 of the constitution it is stated that the their must have at least minimum ampunt of members that should be present at the meeting in order to have a meeting, and that fine should be set for those members who did not shown up. In Section 6 it is established that all the Congress members will be on pay, and they shall be under arrest while they are traveling from or to Congress and that cannot be serving in any other position of government i.e. cannot hold another office while he is in congress. In Section 7 details of how bills will become law are defined. Firstly, any bill that is regarding raising money ...
