Introduction

Imperialism is a political or economic domination exercised by an economically and technologically superior result on a lesser nation in these areas. It is the domination of the most powerful nations on the weaker, although not always legitimately. Completing the nineteenth century, America became the first major power. It established a policy of domination of the world other than Europe. The American Civil War or War of Succession was a significant conflict in the history of the United States of America, which took place between 1861 and 1865. The two opposing sides were the forces of the northern states against the newly formed Confederate States of America, consisting of eleven southern states that declared their independence. Abraham Lincoln lost a Senate race in which it demanded a halt to the expansion of slavery, but in 1860 he and Douglas clashed again: this time as the Republican presidential candidates and Democratic. Then the tension between north and south was extreme.

Discussion

The political parties in the American history are markedly different from European. In them there was no strict hierarchical structure, mandatory membership, party discipline. In fact, membership was determined by voting either for Federalist Party or Anti-Federalist Party.
