The Provision of Primary Healthcare Services Only Through Private Healthcare Facilities

Introduction

This paper outlines the impact of health care and social policy reforms on the quality of private healthcare provision. The US Healthcare system is very costly. A major reason people do not come to hospitals is the exorbitant cost. When people cannot afford a service, they would not be willing to make use of it. As far as Health Insurance is concerned, the United States has a complex system. Health Care system of U.S is dependent on employment based health insurance for paying Doctors, Hospital Staff. There is cut throat competition between Insurance companies in the U.S. Administrative costs are at an all time high (Fuchs, 2009)

Discussion

Any strategy for national public policy that aspires to credibility should have as starting point the fight against all forms of diabetes. It is only after having recognized the fact that you can realistically make choices on policies and programs in order to develop a coherent strategy, both in terms of programs that research. \

The initiative requires the collaboration of several ministries, which already has the support of the federal government. The new strategy, highly targeted, should include detailed and measurable targets in order to achieve tangible results. Development of good public policy means making choices and setting priorities. However, as we cannot do everything and please everyone, an independent evaluation is required (Baum 2007, p99). Regardless of time limitations or a lack of specialist knowledge, it is vital that all care undertaken by any healthcare professional must be underpinned by guidelines of best practice (Saxon 2008). The provision of advice and guidance from nurse to patient is crucial when dealing with people like Jane who have experienced symptoms such as helplessness and despair, in order to re-empower them in terms of their health condition and associated quality of life (Tarek 2010). The Affordability factor has also contributed to the fallacy of the U.S Healthcare system. People avoid going to the hospitals because the cost is out of their reach. There have been many cases where people have skipped the tests or treatment prescribed by the doctor.

These points are extremely relevant to Jane's case. Naturally, she is impacted upon psychologically as a result of her physical state of health. During the short time I was in contact with her, she would often appear frustrated and resentful of her situation upon visiting. However, she would often display these emotions in the form of agitated and snappy behaviour; as though she was not interested and we were wasting her time. Sarafino (2011) describes this act of showing no interest and boredom in the presence of those who tried to help as a reflection of the patient's inner mind process; that is, many obese patients think of themselves ...
