Introduction

Electrical power is the main source which is required for the function of electronic and electrical devices. This report is based on design and construction of solar electric power generation panel which supplies energy to approx. 5000 residents of the community. The station is equipped with solar system power generation and has electric storage function to be able to supply electric vehicles and appliances, independently or network. It provides electric power in a region of community that contains 5000 residents (Moheimani et.al, 2013 pp. 494).

Household sockets can be installed so that in times of emergency, they can also provide electricity for electronic devices (Baniyounes et.al, 2013 pp. 421). Monitors installed at the station still display information related to the generation and storage of energy, use of grid and autonomy of the vehicle batteries. The measured values ??are minute by minute, and the power is controlled so that the stored amount of electricity during the night can be used to supplement the insufficient power generation during the day.

Solar Cells

Photovoltaic conversion based on the photoelectric effect, i.e., the conversion of light energy from the sun into electrical energy. To carry out this conversion are used devices called solar cells made of semiconductor materials in which artificially created a constant electric field (by a PN junction).

When incident on a semiconductor light radiation with enough energy to break the bonds of the valence electrons and generate electron-hole pairs, the existence of a PN junction separates these pairs, electrons flocking to the area to the area hollow NP, creating in short an electric current passing through the junction from the PN area, and can be delivered to an external circuit (P zone out by entering in N) (Horner et.al, 2013 pp. 130). Thus, when a solar cell is exposed to sunlight is made possible electron flow and the occurrence of electric current between the two sides of the cell.

Photovoltaic cells collect energy from sun and transfer it to array DC disconnect. It sends the energy to charge controller which is used to control battery over charging and passes the accurate amount of energy to battery bank. System meter displays the charging level of the battery from which makes easy for the engineers to monitor charging level (Jiang et.al, 2013). A series of high power batteries is required to supply power to 5000 residents of the community. 12V/ 200amp batteries in series are used in this project. High power inverter is connected from batteries to convert the DC in AC.
