Introduction

Today, CPM-based schedules are used by the construction planners in order to represent the planned logical sequence of activities to be performed in a project. The sequence of multiple trades is typically represented by a construction schedule which is highly effective for performing individual work while sharing general resources and workspaces (Akinci and Fischer, 2000)

On-site Mobilization

The term on-site mobilization refers to the involvement of manpower and physical resources of a contractor in order to transfer that to the construction site until the project get completed. It is required by the contractor to provide insurance, bonds and pre-financing to set up a plant that must include various required facilities such as storage areas, shops, sanitary and office. Contractor must determine materials that are required for mobilization and that are not relevant to the project except those which seems to be conventional for any code, regulation, pertinent local or State Law. It is the duty of the contractor to demobilize or mobilize for each work site that is designated in the document of the contract. In the contract documents, the work site is defined as a specific location within the limitations of the project (Akinci and Fischer, 2000).

Earthwork Installing

The first work performed on most of the construction projects is earthwork installing. A number of activities are involved in it from excavating for pipes or structures to clearing the site. The site for other construction work is prepared by the earthwork done on a project such as paving roads and building bridges. It is highly required to carefully inspect earthwork operations in order to ensure the association of specifications with the work done. It is also required by the inspector to closely observe all the earthwork operations that are involved and bring all the related concerns in front of the contractor when suitable (Riley and Sanvido, 2005).

The probability of damages that occur from seismic events, high winds, floods can be minimized significantly with properly designed, manufacture and home foundations.
