Introduction

This research will focus on the aircraft manufacturing company: Airbus and will cover all aspects of the company and its manufacturing operations in Europe. It was founded in 1970 under the name of Airbus Industrie as a consortium of European aircraft manufacturers to produce large passenger planes in competition with U.S. manufacturers, notably Boeing. In 2001, the company changed its name to Airbus SAS. Airbus put its first airline on the market in the 1970s; by the mid-1990s.
