Communication Skills

Introduction

Communication is one of the basic and the most important phenomenon in any human endeavor. Communication is defined as 'the transfer of information from the sender to the receiver, with the information being understood by the receiver.' Many researches have proved that not only communication is essential for any human activity; it is also pre-requisite in nearly all-organic activities.

Communication Skills

Communication can be transmitted through any of the senses, i.e., through hearing, vision, smell, taste, touch and the internal experience of feelings. In other words, information can be transferred from the sender to the receiver through a number of communication modes. However, I tend to give more attention to language while referring to communication. This may be due to our education system, which relies heavily on the spoken and written word.

She was ecstatic when I asked to interview her (of course I didn't dare tell her that I had planned to interview two other people previously because I didn't want to hurt her feelings.) I was content that my mom had fun during the interview and enjoyed my company, because I really enjoyed hers.

After completing this interview I have gained valuable knowledge about how I am as a communicator. When I really delve into this topic I find that I still have so much to learn about and what it means to be an effective and talented communicator. Since this is the field of work I plan to pursue I know that there is a long road ahead of me to practice and perfect my skills. My mother pointed out to me that life is a continual learning process and there is no such thing ...
