Abstract

In this study we will be studying Consolidated Edison company with respect to its employee safety policy. While most Con Edison employees would view safety procedures as a benefit to their overall well being, many employees, like myself, believe that the “Time Out Policy” although underused can help reinforce an employees safety. This paper firstly introduces the problem, will talk about the organizational background and safety policies. For this study we have employed survey method for data collection and analysis; a questionnaire has been prepared for this research and its analysis summary can be found in the Appendices. We have also explored safety management procedure of Consolidated Edison company in contrast to other companies. Lastely we have concluded our study by giving some recommendations.
