Delegation of Management in an Organization

The business management field is very dimensional. Managers have responsibilities to take charge and push for new growth in an organization. Planning is cantered on all of the four functions of management. Managers of an organization are to carry out the functions to assist in the organization's growth. Therefore, they delegate and perform the functions of management.

Planning

The managers in the author's organization use planning effectively to delegate. Planning is one of the functions of management. It is defined as a method for accomplishing an objective (Webster, 2004). Planning is when the organization defines its goals and determines the steps to achieve them. Planning is then organizing and delegating these steps so they can be implemented efficiently.

To achieve these goals the organization must interact with the financial planners in the area on a regular, consistent basis to keep them informed on updates and changes in the products. The author's manager has used planning because he has setup the steps needed for the organization to achieve its goals. He has hired employees and implemented a process for the organization to maximize exposure to the financial advisor community to achieve the organization's goal of increasing sales.

Organizing

The managers in the author's organization practice delegation by organizing. They specifically plan weekly meetings and conference calls to ensure the functions of management are being carried out. Organizing plays an important role in management because the manager must identify the duties that need to be done, coordinate the duties, and then delegate these duties to those who can accomplish them competently. In the author's organization, the manager has organized the necessary duties for the organization to reach its goals.
