In this paper, the writer Michael Pfarr has discussed short historical background of Islam and doctrine of Prophet Mohammad and his founded religion, which is Islam. The first thing to take into account the pre-Islamic era is that Saudi was not an isolated region far from it. In its northern part, sticking with the Syrian and Mesopotamian area had much contact with the two great empires, the Byzantine and Sassanid to the point that both recruited as mercenaries Arab tribes who exercised these areas for border police the other nomadic tribes (Goldschmidt 2002).

The writer has further described for the pre-Islamic social relations were based on a tribal system, both nomadic and sedentary. These tribes were confederations of clans that are allied to political issues, and these alliances sealed by creating a common ancestor. These clans had a system of communal solidarity by which a member could obtain help from the clan against aggression. It was also very important patronage which established in the most powerful tribes, which then greatly influence the Islamic world. The religion of Arabia was very diverse. In the northern Christian influence was very clear, especially Monophysite and Nestorian. In the Hijaz had large Jewish influence, and in Arabia Felix also noticed a Christian influence from Axum (Akbar 2002). But overall, it was rooted Semitic polytheism in which there were many gods, but one was very important, Allah. In this polytheistic religion pilgrimage to the Kaaba was very important.
