Introduction

Mind theory is probably one of those abilities that portray us as humans (Whiten, 1993). Due to our mind theories we become capable to assume our mental states such as believing, desiring, our intentions, how we imagine things, emotions that we feel and so on. Briefly, possessing mind theories makes us able to reflect us on our own minds and on other minds as well. The term was introduced because people thought that mind states are not something that can be straightly judged therefore they need to be hypothesized. It is basically the process of understanding mind state of others and also of oneself. The document explores two of the most important mind states known as Autism and Asperger's syndrome. It talks about both the mind state in relation to each other and illustrates its diagnostic and treatment procedures with barriers in it.

Importance of interaction in social and emotional context cannot be sidelined. The difficulty we face in reading others mind is a centre cognitive characteristic of autism ranged situations. Difficulties of mind theories in such people appear to be universal. Theory of Mind and Normal Functioning

The development of mind theories begins in the early phase of life. The past history of the development of mind theories is apparent in early life. The typical children at the age of months are able to identify facial expressions but the understanding of senses occurs some months after. Once little kids are capable of interpreting the facial expressions of the people around them, they start using this non- verbal language in maintaining their emotions and their behavior with others. For instance, A crawling baby looks at his mother for getting cues if it is secure to move towards an unknown person. The importance of difficulties in mind theories can be presented with better clarification for communication as well as the social/communal challenges that describe the disorders due such as Autism and Asperger's syndrome.

The world which is so called 'socialized' can prove to be very complex and tough for people suffering with Asperger and Autism disorders. According to APA (American Psychiatric Association), the difficulties in interpreting perspectives of others, understanding the changing emotions, in showing empathy and in maintaining the conversations can cause problems in social interactions. Instead, restrictive and intense interests in particular topics may dominate the conversation while the child is not engaged in the social network of the life and has excess of free time .All together these features display the difficulties which are faced by individuals (having Asperger and Autism disorders) in social competition for instance in the ability which is required in making good friendships, in creating the relations which are based on our emotions, working as a team and cooperating with the people in surroundings.
