Why does Katniss ignore……. the Cornucopia?

Kantiss ran towards the Cornucopia as she saw a quiver of arrows and a bow (i.e. a weapon), which Katniss knew was situated in the arena merely for her and also that she needed it. Katniss even understood that Haymitch was not able to witness each of Katniss's abilities (Wilson & Barnes, Pp. 104-126).
