For this paper, I have selected The United States Navy Recruitment Command - a government organization engaged in recruitment of personnel for Navy and according to their mission, they will continue to meet its mission, recruiting the best and the brightest for service to our nation and the 21st Century Navy. United States Navy Recruitment Command is perhaps the best-known corporate representative today of a movement in organization that adopts a “new corporate concept of linked prosperity” (Polachek, 2006). This “new concept” places an equal emphasis upon both the repercussions a military agency has on its surrounding society as well as on the conventional economic priorities of a military agency (survival in a competitive market). Navy Recruitment has from the beginning maintained that organization has a responsibility to give back to the community. This ideal, established during the early days of United States Navy Recruitment Command, embodies the idea that a military agency can prosper as the community around it prospers.
