Introduction

Technology is advancing day by day and each day brings new ideas and concepts with certain innovations and concepts. Cell phones are common today, and class rooms have addicted of cell phones. Students prefer using cell phones in their classes and, feel relax to contact with their mates for several reasons. Cell phones are serving as the main source of communications today and, providing help in their school work and home works. Cell phones are also preferred in emergency cases because; it is the fastest medium of communications today.

Discussion

A national survey conducted in high schools of Canada to understand the need of technology and, 6500 students of private high schools replied that, they need cell phones in their classes. The New 3 Es (engaged, enabled and empowered) discussed that, how students are utilizing technologies in their school timings (Robert Earl 2012). Students use cell phones to get information of their class work and, in homes, in completing their home works. Smart phones are providing easy access to internet and, students get their relevant data in class rooms and, discuss with the teachers. It also helps students in completing their work and, putting different charts and tables, downloaded from internet. There are various options for students to utilize cell phones in completing their assignments. 61% high schoolers claimed that, they allowed the usage of cell phones in classes while 53% ban the use of cell phones in the classes (Robert Earl 2012). There are other options for students such as checking their grades (74% students claimed that they use cell phones for checking their grades), several students use cell phones for copying class notes (68%), and 44% students use cell phones for downloading digital text books. 75% parents claimed that, they like their ...
