19th Century French culture

Introduction

The history and the culture of the French people is very old and traditional. There have been a number of alterations made over the years in the history of the French and too is because of the series of events that have taken place in the French history, and the intervention of the foreign forces have influenced the French to a great extent. It is Paris that has played a very prominent in maintaining the cultural values and have preserved it to a great extent. France was a very backward country in the 17th century, but things changed over the years, and France started contributing towards the fashion industry and the media in the 19th century and today France has a very high impact on the fashion industry. French culture today is marked both by great regional and socioeconomic differences and by strong unifying tendencies.

A Simple Heart,” the opening story in Gustave Flaubert's 1877 Three Tales collection, is generally considered a masterpiece of the short-story form. It's not hard to understand why. It combines richly observed detail with spare, deceptively simple language to create what is both a perfectly realized character study and a dazzlingly poetic rendering of faith and its fulfillment. Felicite was a provincial girl. And she started working as a peasant. Her madam was a widow and a very strict lady, thought the family was rich, but it was too harsh on the girl. Felicite was responsible for running the entire house and it was her duty to take care of the children. The job was so tough that it was required for her to devote her life to the family in order to serve her duty well, but later in the years, the tragedies that she faces changes her life completely.

France was a country which was very low on education and income. People, who were rich, were very rich and the people who were poor were very poor. It was generally a part of the French culture to over load their servants with work and pay them less. This was all against the human rights, but looking down in to the history of the French revolution; this is what has been happening since ages. The rules of France in the past decade were very harsh, cruel and selfish. They would use the citizens of France for their personal gains and then they would lay them off or kill them once the work for them was over. It was money that mattered the most to the people on the highest level. The trend that was very much common in the French life was living with the parents which is pretty much against the culture of the west and especially to the American culture.
