The name of Noam Chomsky is familiar to almost every person interested in politics. Someone read his article, someone just heard about him as one of the main ideologists of the anti-globalists. For a narrow circle of professionals, he is the world's largest linguist and theoretician. Chomsky has never held official positions, while remaining humble professor of linguistics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). However, his views are listened to many people around the world, and books by Noam Chomsky almost immediately become a bestseller. Chomsky does not ignore almost every major event in the world. In his comments, he, an American by birth who has lived all his life in the United States, constantly challenges the view of the authorities and media to world events, calling impartially evaluate the correctness of America.

In the book "9-11" - the first political book, Chomsky, expounds his views on the events of 11 September 2001. This book probably not evens a book, a collection of interviews given by them to various publications about these events during the autumn of 2001. Genre originality of the book has its own advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, here you can see the answers to specific questions, the answers to the other missing, but on the other - the book is replete with comments.

Chomsky said, "if the goal of social activists is to reduce the likelihood of further atrocities and to advance hopes for freedom, human rights, and democracy, they should intensify their efforts to inquire into the background factors that lie behind these and other crimes and devote themselves with even more energy to the just cause to which they have already been committed"(116).

The author, recognizing the evil, which consisted in terrorist attacks in New York, strongly criticizes the subsequent actions of the United States and its allies in the fight against international terrorism, leads to an argument a wide variety of examples showing that the attacks of 11 September was preceded by various indiscretions of the United States: the sanctions against Iraq, and destroying a pharmaceutical plant in Sudan and the various actions in Latin America.
