Kobalt Music is primarily engaged in royalty and other administration matters. They are not currently operating in Japan, but Japan can be a place for Kobalt for expanding their business. The ultimate aim of the study is to determine whether it might be an option for Kobalt to start their operation in Japan. This will be determine by proper analysis of the Japanese music market, as per the stats japans music publishing market is a profitable option, but the facts can not be denied that it is already pre occupied by the big players like Sony BMG, EMI, Universal etc. They will not allow Kobalt to start or built their operations in Japan so easily and Kobalt will faced legal restriction as Japan has a very ethnocentric environment
