The therapeutic alliance forms the basis for treatment as well as it has the great contribution in driving the successful therapy outcomes. Many new techniques and approaches to therapeutic alliance are being developing in the field of therapy that is overcoming the ineffectiveness of the traditional therapy procedures. The skills and abilities of therapists are now given more importance and considerations and steps are taken to make effective their therapeutic procedures as well as therapeutic alliance with that of the clients. The psychological health care institutions where the therapeutic alliance and processes are not given importance and considerations, they cause the great harm to clients, who come for psychological treatments, as well as to the field of therapy as a whole.

The clients in each therapy case require that therapist is helpful, kind, collaborative, reliable, trust able, fair, dependable, well-informed, and most importantly that she/he is aware off and also appreciates the clients' feelings.
